Heritage Sites

PMQ is revitalised from the former Police Married Quarters into a bustling design hub converging more than 100 creative vendors and studios. Its 500sq m multifunctional event space, Qube, with a capacity for 500 pax, can accommodate everything from intimate seminars to large banquets. The creative studios onsite run local craft workshops that are good for teambuilding. An array of restaurants in PMQ can cater for private events.

Tai Kwun is a restored 170-year-old declared monument – the Central Police Station Compound. The Parade Ground (600 pax) and the Prison Yard (600 pax) – each spanning 1,400sq m – are ideal for events that require a unique outdoor space, while the Laundry Steps (250 pax) provides a more intimate semi-outdoor space. Other indoor spaces, including the JC Cube (a 192-seat auditorium) and F Hall Studio (92 pax), are also suitable for a range of events.

The Central Market is a restored Grade III historic building of 12,000sq m, now converted into a mecca of dining, retail and events where history and tradition are connected with contemporary culture. Unique indoor and outdoor events spaces are available for chartering for small- to medium-sized events of up to 100 pax. Tailored guided tours are organised, giving visitors a glimpse of the venue’s rich heritage.

Once the heart of Hong Kong’s thriving textile manufacturing operation Nan Fung Textiles, The Mills is now fashioned intoa destination consisting of a business incubator, experiential retail and a non-profit cultural institution, where visitors can explore the story of Hong Kong’s textile and industry woven into experiences of innovation, culture and learning. It also boasts more than13,000sq ft of potential exhibition space for dedicated events. Its multi-functional space, The Annex at The Mills is equipped with movable acoustic partition walls so that it can be utilised as one large space or divided into three individual rooms.

The Fringe Club stands out with its neoclassical exterior of milky white and brown bricks as part of Central’s Old Dairy Farm Depot. Located within a stone’s throw from Hong Kong’s popular night spot Lan Kwai Fong, the venue houses multiple spaces suitable for different types of events. Fringe Underground is a free-space venue that can seat up to 120 pax, and the Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery is a 120sq m spacious glass-fronted area surrounded by artworks, for 120 pax standing.

The Fringe Club

Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK), at the former Explosives Magazine of the old Victoria Barracks, has been expertly conserved and transformed into a cultural, artistic and intellectual hub, with various indoor and outdoor venues available for hosting a conference, reception, dinner, film screening or exhibition, for up to 350 pax.
